About Us ...

    One day my wife and I went to the cemetery to visit my McFeely gravesite where my grandfather is buried, where a small footstone bears his name. Just beyond that lies a large gravestone bearing the names of my great grandfather & great grandmother. Through my life my father found it important to visit these gravesites and pull weeds and show a little respect for them. As we were looking at the stone, I noticed names such as John, Willie, Alfred, etc. I asked my father who these people were but he had only vague ideas. He mentioned another large stone in the cemetery with the name McFeely but told me he didn't think we were related.

    I began to wonder who these people were, and to wonder if anybody will know my name if they see it in the years to come. I thought it a shame that I could be related to these people  and they have been forgotten. I discovered that I could get a plot record from the cemetery with more information on who was buried in these plots. I was astounded at the number of McFeely's buried in these plots who were not listed on the stone. My wife and I decided we had to know more.

    Therefore, our journey began.  Over the past 5 years we have acquired incredible amounts of information through long hard research, endless trips to the library, churches, internet searches and correspondence with relatives we never knew we had. It has been over 5 years since then  and we feel as though these people have been faithfully remembered and even old memories revived. And with these genealogical records I hope that I and you will be remembered for all time.

    If you think you aren't related to our branch of the McFeely family, you are probably wrong! The difficulty is in finding information back to where our branches meet. At one time we thought our Buffalo branch was the whole tree. We have traced and documented blood relatives  throughout the United States and Canada in places such as California, Texas, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Jersey,  Missouri, Minnesota, Indiana, Ontario and Vancouver Canada, Scotland, Austrailia and many other places. And even to this day, those still in Ireland.

    I believe we are all related, even if your name is McPheely or some other form of spelling. Even the smallest bit of information you may have could close a missing link. Any information you may share would be greatly appreciated. My wife Lynn has become an incredible researcher, with a great mind for discovering otherwise seemingly impertinent information and making major discoveries. She is a McFeely by marriage but is truly a McFeely at heart. She would be more than grateful to correspond with you, with any questions you may have or info you would like to share.
